Here Are Some Scholarships For Seniors!

Are you a 2021 senior who is a Wareham resident and also plans on going into a field of agriculture or aquaculture? Well the Wareham Garden Club and the Wareham Oyster Festival inc. are offering $1,000 dollar scholarships.

The Wareham Garden Club is offering $1,000 dollar scholarships to students with a minimum B average which is 3.0 on a 4.0 GPA scale and good character. These scholarships are available for students who are going to have a focus of study in one or more areas:  horticulture, environmental studies, floriculture, land management, botany, biology, conservation, landscape design or architecture, forestry, agronomy, city planning or allied subjects.

Eligible students must be graduating in the Spring of 2021, from any high school or trade school. Students that are eligible must also have been accepted to or enrolled in a school of higher education and submit their application postmarked on or before March 31st.

The scholarships will be available at area high schools.

Wareham Oyster Festival Inc. is offering a $1,000 scholarship to students that are residents of Wareham and have been accepted into or are enrolled in a school of higher education. The organization promotes the study and growth of sustainable aquaculture as well as productive marine populations and ecosystems with a focus on the breeding and harvesting of shellfish.

The scholarship is available to a student who is planning on pursuing a career in aquaculture, physical and geological oceanography, or marine related science. The application is due May 1st.
